Terms of Service
The terms that apply when we build, deliver and host your website. This is a business-to-business service.
Who we are
Served Online is a trading name of Neatly Done, a business operated by Chris Charters (sole trader), based in Milton Keynes, England. Address for correspondence: 79 Broughton Grounds Lane, Brooklands, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK10 7FD. Contact: hello@servedonline.co.uk.
Who these terms are for
Our service is provided to businesses for business purposes. By ordering, you confirm you’re acting as a business (a sole trader, partnership or company), not as a consumer. Consumer cancellation rights that apply to personal purchases don’t apply here — your cancellation rights are set out below and in our Refund Policy.
Prices and VAT
All prices are in GBP. VAT is not currently charged. If we become VAT-registered, VAT will be added at the prevailing rate and shown on your invoice.
The build fee — £299
We build your website speculatively, so you only pay if you want to go live. You get a 7-day review window with free changes. After the review:
- £299 build fee, due before go-live.
- Payment via Stripe.
- Your website files are yours once the fee is paid.
The 7-day review window is our own commercial offer, not a statutory cooling-off period.
The Care Plan — £29/month or £290/year
Required to keep your site live. It covers:
- Hosting on Cloudflare’s global network.
- Unlimited content-update requests via your dashboard.
- An annual design refresh.
- SEO performance monitoring.
- New features rolled out automatically.
- Domain renewal, where we manage your domain.
The annual plan (£290) saves two months versus monthly.
Your site depends on an active Care Plan: if the plan lapses, your site is taken offline.
Failed payments and suspension
If a Care Plan payment fails, we’ll attempt to contact you and retry collection. If it stays unpaid for 14 days, we may suspend your site (take it offline). Your website files remain yours throughout; restoring a suspended site may require settling the outstanding amount.
Cancellation
Cancel any time — no exit fees, no minimum term. On cancellation:
- Your site goes offline at the end of the current billing period.
- Your website files, and management of any domain we hold for you, are transferred to you on request.
- No refunds for part-months already paid (see Refund Policy).
Domains
Where you ask us to register a domain for you, we register it using your details and manage it on your behalf while you’re on the Care Plan — maintaining DNS and handling renewals. The domain is registered for your business and intended for your use.
You can ask us to hand over management, or to transfer the domain to you or to a registrar of your choice, at any time. We don’t charge for this; a new registrar or registry may charge its own transfer fee.
If a renewal payment can’t be collected, or the Care Plan ends, we’ll notify you — but an unrenewed domain will lapse and may be lost, so please keep your contact details current.
Your content and acceptable use
You’re responsible for the content you supply or add through your dashboard, including that you own it or have the right to use it and that it’s lawful and accurate. Our Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything published through the service. We may remove content or suspend a site that breaches it.
Data protection
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Where your website collects personal data from your own visitors (for example, contact-form enquiries), we process that data on your behalf as your processor, under our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.
Uptime
We target 99.9% availability via Cloudflare. We’re not liable for failures in third-party infrastructure outside our control.
Intellectual property
The content, design and code of your site is yours once the £299 fee is paid — we retain no ongoing licence over it. We may reference the finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t lawfully be excluded. Subject to that:
- Our total liability connected with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings.
Things outside our control
We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example, outages at hosting, payment or registrar providers).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the current version; continuing to use the service means you accept the current terms.
General
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement; we may transfer ours to a successor of the business. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
